Oil Filter Maintenance Points

Replacement Cycle

General Recommendation: Every 5000~10000 kilometers (refer to the vehicle manual).
Actual Situation: Needs to be combined with the usage environment (e.g., dusty, high-temperature environments require shorter cycles).

Replacement Steps

Preparation: Operate after the engine has cooled down to avoid burns.
Draining Oil: Before removing the old filter, open the oil pan drain plug to drain the old oil.
Replacement:
Clean the mounting surface to prevent residual old sealing rings.
Before installing the new filter, apply new engine oil to lubricate the sealing ring.
Tighten manually until sealed (usually 3/4 turn), avoid excessive force.
Add new engine oil: Add according to the standard capacity, start the engine to check oil pressure and leaks.

Notes

Strictly prohibit mixing: Different Brands or Models of filters may have mismatched sealing.
Check the bypass valve: If the filter element is found to be frequently clogged, check if the bypass valve has failed.
Observe the old filter element: After disassembly, the engine wear condition can be analyzed (e.g., metal chip content).
